  • 5 Heads garlic
  • 5 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. First peel off the first few layers of the garlic bulb leaving just enough to hold the cloves together.

  3.  Next cut 1/4" off the top of the bulb exposing the individual cloves.

Garlic has the top 1/4" of bulb cut off so the individual cloves are exposed
  4. Place each garlic bulb on a piece of aluminum foil and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle each bulb with salt and pepper.

  5.  Wrap the foil up around the bulb leaving a small space that the steam can escape.

Foil is wrapped loosely around garlic bulb leaving a small vent hole in the top for steam to escape
  6.   Place the foil packets on a baking sheet or in a oven safe dish and into the oven.

Garlic bulbs have been foil wrapped leaving a vent at the top and all placed in a baking dish ready for roasting.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes.  The garlic is done when it is starting to turn golden brown and is soft and spreadable!
