Roasting garlic takes all that strong garlic flavour and mellows it out to be a smooth, creamy, spreadable addition to so many wonderful dishes. This Easy Roasted Garlic will have you making this up again and again!
Preheat Oven to 400 degrees F.
First peel off the first few layers of the garlic bulb leaving just enough to hold the cloves together.
Next cut 1/4" off the top of the bulb exposing the individual cloves.
Place each garlic bulb on a piece of aluminum foil and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle each bulb with salt and pepper.
Wrap the foil up around the bulb leaving a small space that the steam can escape.
Place the foil packets on a baking sheet or in a oven safe dish and into the oven.
Bake for 40-45 minutes. The garlic is done when it is starting to turn golden brown and is soft and spreadable!
