I loved experimenting with this appetizer! I was craving something very garlicky and wanted a whipped spread of some sort! After I looked on Pinterest for a bit I decided I wanted to try mixing whipped feta with roasted garlic and couldn’t see any out there! It turned out just like i’d imagined!
I had lots of fresh extra virgin olive oil and it was the perfect addition to this spread!
Whipped Feta with Roasted Garlic
This spread is very easy to make and can get used in many ways! It tastes salty and fresh and paired with fresh tomatoes was excellent! This spread can be refrigerated for up to 3 days. Bring to room temperature and re-whip before serving!
Great pairings for Whipped Feta
- Spread on toasted baguettes and top with sliced cherry tomatoes and caramelized shallots!
- Spread inside a whole wheat wrap and add some lettuce and tomatoes for a healthy lunch!
- Top with sliced olives and tomatoes and drizzle with olive oil. Serve with your favourite crackers or baguettes as a dip!
- Spread on toast with your favourite sandwich toppings!
- Eat. It. With. A. Spoon. (I won’t tell!) I also quality tested this theory and yep…its good…
Steps to make Whipped Feta with Roasted Garlic
- Roast the garlic bulbs, click here for a great recipe!
- Add feta to the food processor and pulse until feta is all broken up.
- Add roasted garlic, lemon juice, salt, cream cheese and olive oil to the food processor and blend until smooth, approx 2-4 minutes.
- Serve on toasted baguettes, crackers or with asparagus, or brussel sprouts!

Ingredients
- 1 head roasted garlic *see notes
- 1 cup Feta (200g)
- 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 block cream cheese (62 grams)
- 1/8 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions

Place feta in a food processor and pulse until broken into small pieces.

Add Roasted garlic, cream cheese, olive oil, lemon and salt to the food processor and blend until smooth. 2-4 minutes.

Serve on baguette crackers. Top with tomatoes, olives and sauteed shallots to make this appetizer over the top!
