It was one year ago this week that I pulled the trigger on building a blog about baking, cakes and all kinds of food and drink!  Happy Birthday Just a Dash!

One year ago I kept thinking that blogging may bring in some extra income while taking care of 3 kids! I already loved decorating cakes but didn’t want to limit myself just to cake!

This was a good idea as decorating a new cake every week would have been seriously hard on the waist line! I have always had a weakness for cake so that was a great decision!  I branched out to creating all types of food from appetizers to drinks to entrees and desserts!

From trials with set up to creating a logo, editing photos and TAKING photos! It has all been a huge learning curve!

Reading up on SEO and setting up a mailing list, there has been more to learn than I ever would have thought and I swear I’m only implementing a quarter of what I should and WANT to be doing!

Making one recipe a week originally seemed like no big deal but has turned out to be way more work than I thought!  I have enjoyed creating a wide range of delicious foods and photographing has been fun!

I am looking forward to growing my site and creating more content in the years to come!  I cant wait to learn more about the ins and outs of blogging and implementing them into Just a Dash!
